Hudson is in the lead for our baby boy's name favorite! Are you voting more than once?!! No cheating! I talked to my daddy on the phone today and he asked if we had come up with another name besides Shepherd. I asked why and he replied with, "Well, it's just that I'm gonna hafta introduce him sometime...(chuckle chuckle)." He and my mom think it sounds like a dog. We were raised with 2 German Shepherd-Husky's. Mom barks at me anytime I bring up the name. I just laugh back at her. She likes names such as: Jaxson, Grayson, Brody...and so on. My parents live in Decatur, Indiana. It's a 5-6 hour drive from where we live. I'm looking forward to seeing them for Thanksgiving. I know it's hard for them to have their little girl so far away....let alone while I'm pregnant for the first time. They are really excited about being grandparents for a 2nd time. (My brother has a little girl, Lexie, who will be 4 in January.) Love her! I miss them, too. But, I don't regret moving here. It's so beautiful and I just feel like this is where we are meant to be to raise a family; especially with wanting to be farmers.
Josh made cheese last night! He didn't come to bed until after 3 a.m.! We have 2 dairy cows that just had a calf and so now we have raw milk! Yay! Yes, I am drinking it, and yes it is safe. The cows are raised organically and Josh tests the milk before we drink it. See below to learn more.

Pasteurization destroys enzymes, diminishes vitamin content, denatures fragile milk proteins, destroys vitamins C, B12 and B6, kills beneficial bacteria, promotes pathogens and is associated with allergies, increased tooth decay, colic in infants, growth problems in children, osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease and cancer. Calves fed pasteurized milk do poorly and many die before maturity. Raw milk sours naturally but pasteurized milk turns putrid; processors must remove slime and pus from pasteurized milk by a process of centrifugal clarification. Inspection of dairy herds for disease is not required for pasteurized milk. Pasteurization was instituted in the 1920s to combat TB, infant diarrhea, undulant fever and other diseases caused by poor animal nutrition and dirty production methods. But times have changed and modern stainless steel tanks, milking machines, refrigerated trucks and inspection methods make pasteurization absolutely unnecessary for public protection. And pasteurization does not always kill the bacteria for Johne’s disease suspected of causing Crohn's disease in humans with which most confinement cows are infected. Much commercial milk is now ultra-pasteurized to get rid of heat-resistant bacteria and give it a longer shelf life. Ultra-pasteurization is a violent process that takes milk from a chilled temperature to above the boiling point in less than two seconds. So this has to be the most absolutely complete blog EVER! haha; so much information on here. I wanted to leave sum love on here for you; i know you like the love being left here! So yeah; super excited to become neighbors in a few years! hehehe Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaay! Ok; talk to you later! Oh...BTW, THE Buffalo Bills are now 5-1!!!
